Passion and purpose
I currently work as a portfolio GP. This means that I spend the majority of my time in clinical practice with the remainder of the time divided between a number of other careers and interests. Working as a doctor has always been my first ‘calling’ or purpose in life.
I’m genuinely passionate about empowering fellow medical professionals on their career journeys. It’s why I dedicate time to creating FREE, supportive content on YouTube. If you’re looking for extra guidance and exclusive resources, I’ve also launched a membership club. Dive in and see how I can help you! I occasionally examine medical students in their Objective Structured Clinical Examinations or OSCEs at QMUL.

Testimonials
Here are a few reviews from some of my mentees, clients and customers.
Patrice’s articles on her background and formal training have a very clear message as they tell a story of how you can truly achieve your dreams with pure dedication and sheer determination. Her writing is inspiring as it encourages you to go higher and support everyone else along the way in fulfilling their potential. It invigorates you to wholeheartedly pursue your goals and address any challenges with a positive attitude. I would highly recommend reading her articles.
Attending the DreamSmartTutors workshop on applying to medicine back in Sixth Form was a very useful experience. From tips on writing personal statements to detailed explanations on different routes to pursuing a career in medicine, the content covered in the seminar was very informative. We even had the opportunity to have mock interviews! I am grateful that I had gotten the opportunity to consult Dr.Baptiste. Despite having first met her years ago, she still supports me to this day and is happy to give advice! She is a great mentor!
I booked a call with Patrice and she was generous with her time and information to guide me as a new entrepreneur. She guided me to new ideas as we brainstormed potential offerings. Patrice also helped me understand that some promo items I wanted to post should not wait because my items were important to the situation the world is in right now. I recommend Patrice for her coaching skills, her guidance, and for being a wonderful supporter. Thank you, Patrice!
I met Dr Baptiste at the BMJ Live Careers Fair, where I gained useful careers advice and a different perspective from her presentation. She was open to a follow up conversation, which I found helpful, and she gave further pointers on how to think about career planning, based on what’s important to the individual. If you are looking for careers advice from a friendly Qualified Medical Professional, Dr Baptiste is your go to.
I had the absolute honour of hosting Patrice in a widening participation / higher education event which was part of a Careers Themed Week titled 'Have you ever thought about becoming a....' Patrice delivered a workshop called 'Pathway to Medicine'. The workshop was phenomenal, Patrice spoke to to 50, Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 students, she detailed her academic journey, the reason she chose medicine, study tips for the coming exams, how to change your mindset and a number of other thought provoking topics. Patrice held the students attention for the whole workshop. Thank you very much for giving our students a meaningful encounter with an employer Dr Baptiste, you are an incredible woman and you are doing fantastic work. Thank you.
